It seems like more and more people we know are using blogs as a way of communicating with their family and friends so we thought we'd give it a try ourselves. Just think of the money we'll save on the stamps for all those letters we send - okay, we send very few letters during the year. At any rate, it will be fun for us and hopefully for everyone else.
I have to add that we took him on Space Mountain which made me more nervous than any other ride. He sat with Crystal and since it's dark inside, I couldn't see how he was reacting. He let us know how he felt at the very end. When we came to the end of the ride, he threw both arms up in the air and yelled, "That was awesome". I guess he liked it. His other favorite ride was Soaring Over California which is a realistic IMAX journey over beautiful California. This was such a fun day for all of us and we'll never forget seeing his smiling face.
For about a year I've been wanting to take Liam to Disneyland and I knew he was finally old enough to really enjoy it. With work and busy schedules it just never seemed to come together.....until recently. We decided to take him this past week as an early birthday present. There's no way we're taking him in July!
So, with 3 adults as chaperones, Liam got to check out Mickey's backyard. Here he is with Crystal just after arriving. He had no idea what was in store for him.

Of course, we had to do the Carrousel first. He picked the best looking horse and from that moment on - he never stopped. It's a Small World was our next stop and then we went on the Storybook Ride. We wore that smile most of the day.
Liam was drawn to the Teacup Ride but mom and grandma don't do spinning rides so grandpa stepped up to the plate and took Liam on the ride. Grandpa let him control most of the spinning. The video below shows both of them having a great time in the "blue" teacup.
The park wasn't overly croweded and the weather was perfect for a full day outside. Liam didn't get to "meet" any Disney characters since now you have to stand in line to meet them - and the lines are pretty long. He did enjoy just seeing them walk around and he got a personal salute from Mr. Incredible which Liam thought was pretty awesome. He was very impressed with his muscles. One of his favorites, Lightening McQueen, was close enough for a photo-op!
We had Hopper Passes so we also got to go over to California Adventure during the day where John and Crystal rode the Hollywood Tower Hotel ride - or as I refer to it: Hollywood Tower of Terror. I've been on the ride and didn't want to do it again - a little scary.
Fortunately, California has all the letters we needed for Name Matching: Liam tried out the "L" and then he and Crystal checked out the "C". Of course, John and I had to pose with the "A".
It was a very long day for Liam (who was up 3 hours past his bedtime) but he never complained and he was such a good boy all day long. His true feelings about leaving the park at the end of the day is best explained by the last picture.....
